Acts of Giving, Sharing and Caring
As children, we must realize that we are privileged. However, there are many children here in the United States and around the world that are far less fortunate than us. Our goal is not only to help these less privileged children but also to raise awareness, inspire and motivate kids like us to step forward and lend a hand, speak out, and become a driving force to empower those children in need.
In turn, as adults and parents, supporting our own children will create a deep founded appreciation for what they are blessed with but also allow them to realize that they have the capabilities to provide hope and care for others in need.
The children we are currently aiming to aide include:
· Child victims of natural disasters including:
- Hurricane devastated regions and states
- Flood ravaged villages of Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Kashmir, South Carolina and Pan-Handle area of Florida
- Earthquake devestated lands of Indonesia, South America, Central America
- Famine suffering children in Somalia, Yemen
· Orphaned children suffering from civil wars, ethnic killings and family casualties:
- Children in Northern Pakistani provinces
- Children of war torn Afghanistan and Iraq
- Children suffering in lands of the Middle East due recent political upheavals
- Children separated from their parents at borders seeking refuge from war torn areas and suffering political consequences
Children whose morbidity and mortality are preventable with improved healthcare and disease monitoring:
- Children and their families in Sub-Saharan Africa who are victims of the AIDS/HIV epidemic
- Those children exposed to unhygienic and poor living conditions here in the United States and abroad
